Wuxi Weicheng cardan shafts for rolling mill produced by forging parts have been sent to the foreign customer
More than three months ago, our company WUXI WEICHENG CARDANSHAFT CO.,LTD received a customer's order for a batch of forged cardan shaft, and finally ,we delivered them with two containers to the customer this week. This cooperation is not only a breakthrough in foreign trade orders of our company, but also a new breakthrough in the development of domestic cardan shaft industry.
In the early communication, we learned that the customer is really quite interested in the cardan shaft for rolling mill made in China, but the cardan shaft of forged parts has not yet been popularized in China. For our company, this cooperation is not only an opportunity, but also a challenge.
As shown in the figure above, forged flange yoke on the left side, and cast flange yoke is on the right side, which can also be distinguished from each other in appearance. Those who are familiar with the cardan shaft industry in China know that at present, most of the domestic customers are in demand of cast cardan shaft, which is not only due to the relatively economical and affordable price, but also related to the difference in manufacturing process of forging and casting.
Generally speaking, forging can eliminate the defects such as loose as cast state and optimize the microstructure of the forging. At the same time, due to the preservation of complete metal streamline, the mechanical properties of forgings are generally better than those of castings of the same material.
After a small amount of processing, or even no processing, the blank of forging parts can become finished parts.Compared with the casting blank, the utilization ratio of raw materials is greatly improved, and the extruded blank has higher strength, plasticity and fine structure, thus greatly improving the tensile / bending strength and fatigue strength of the metal, and prolonging the service life of the product.
Specific to the production and processing stage, as shown in the figure above is our company's forging flange yoke which has been basically formed after CNC machining. It can be seen that the appearance is flat and smooth without burr, and the dimensional accuracy is good. Both the texture and the smoothness are far beyond the overall effect of casting parts!
